Volleyball Recap: Olentangy Liberty Falls Despite Big Games from Andrew Mulyadi and Vihaan Soni

Olentangy Liberty extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 10-8 in the process. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 8th.

Despite the loss, Olentangy Liberty had strong showings from Vihaan Soni, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Andrew Mulyadi, who had nine digs. Soni is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

As for Hilliard Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 18, 2024.

Hilliard Davidson can attribute much of their success to Logan Buck, who had 16 digs and two assists.

Coming up, Olentangy Liberty will head out on the road to take on New Albany at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hilliard Davidson, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Thomas Worthington on the 26th.
