Volleyball Game Preview: Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes vs. ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars

Abingdon/Avon is 0-7 against ROWVA/Williamsfield since September of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Tornadoes will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Abingdon/Avon came up short against Sherrard and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-9.

Meanwhile, ROWVA/Williamsfield entered their tilt with Peoria Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Chargers.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

Abingdon/Avon couldn't quite get it done against ROWVA/Williamsfield in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
