Basketball Game Preview: Savannah Bluejackets vs. McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers

The Savannah Bluejackets will face off against the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Savannah is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Saturday. They fell just short of Claxton by a score of 29-26.

Meanwhile, McIntosh County Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 48-32 fall against Metter. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 371st, while the Tigers are ranked 184th).

McIntosh County Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14. As for Savannah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
