Volleyball Recap: Ozark Find Success

Ozark is still undefeated this season after their matchup against St. Dominic on Saturday, but St. Dominic came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Tigers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Crusaders. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tara Venable paced Ozark's offense, picking up 16 kills. Venable got some help from Lucy Roark and her 28 assists. Ella Hedgepeth controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why St. Dominic lost, don't look at Maria Nettler. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist.

Ozark's victory bumped their record up to 23-0. As for St. Dominic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-6-2 record this season.

Ozark will face off against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Dominic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Liberty on the 4th.
