Basketball Game Preview: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Ord Chanticleers

The St. Paul Wildcats will square off against the Ord Chanticleers on Friday. St. Paul is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, St. Paul was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Central City.

Meanwhile, Ord was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside on Monday, taking the game 51-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chanticleers.

St. Paul better keep an eye on Elijah Pollard. He was instrumental in Ord's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Colton Thompson, who posted seven points.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Ord, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

St. Paul was able to grind out a solid victory over Ord in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 62-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Paul since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
