Softball Recap: South Decatur Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

South Decatur hadn't done well against Hauser recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Cougars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Jets a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

South Decatur's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hauser, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for another result: the Jets was given a victory via forfeit against South Decatur later that day.
