Softball Recap: Stevens Takes a Loss

Stevens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the O'Connor Panthers, falling 13-2. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Stevens saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicole Elizondo, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for O'Connor, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stevens will square off against rival Marshall at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, O'Connor is set to take on their familiar foe Taft at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.2, the Raiders 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
