Preview: Brackett Tigers vs. Hondo Owls
The Brackett Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Hondo Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Brackett's game on Friday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The matchup between Brackett and D'Hanis wasn't particularly close, with Brackett falling 66-50. Brackett has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Meanwhile, Hondo's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Bandera on the road and fell 94-38. While losing is never fun, Hondo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1519th, while Bandera is ranked 583rd).
Brackett has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Hondo, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-10 record last season and are now at 3-14.
