Baseball Game Preview: Olympia Titans vs. Lake Mary Rams

Olympia and Lake Mary are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Olympia Titans will welcome the Lake Mary Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Mary took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Olympia, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Olympia earned a 5-2 win over Dr. Phillips. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Trace Furniss spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Blake Moore was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Lake Mary came up short against Viera on Wednesday and fell 7-3.

The win got Olympia back to even at 1-1. As for Lake Mary, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
