Football Recap: Star City Comes Up Short

Star City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lakeside Beavers, falling 47-27. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

AJ Wilson had a dynamite game For Lakeside., rushing for 264 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. Wilson showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards. Another back making a difference was Vincent King Jr, who rushed for 177 yards on only 13 carries.

Star City's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lakeside, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Star City has already played their next game, a 42-12 defeat against Crossett on the 26th. As for Lakeside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-7 loss against Dumas on the 26th.
