Volleyball Recap: Southeast Alamance Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Southeast Alamance, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Northwood Chargers on Wednesday. The Stallions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

Southeast Alamance was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-15, 25-19.

Emily Troy paced Southeast Alamance's offense, picking up ten kills. Troy got some help from Victoria Vazquez and her 24 assists. Vazquez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Southeast Alamance's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Northwood, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Southeast Alamance will head out to square off against Western Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood will be paying especially close attention to the Stallions' match: after the Stallions face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Northwood again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
