Western Albemarle is 0-10 against Louisa County since March of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Western Albemarle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Western Albemarle came up short against Monticello and fell 7-4. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Aniyah Sims was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Samia Bird, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Louisa County beat Fluvanna County 4-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Flying Flucos: they've now won nine in a row.

Lily Ruckle looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single walk any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Laci Garrett was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Alyssa Hopkins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Western Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Louisa County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Western Albemarle couldn't quite get it done against Louisa County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
