Softball Recap: Bellevue Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bellevue entered their tilt with Holmes on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 20-9 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Tigers have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Madalyn Kincaid was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Paulina Long was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bellevue's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Holmes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue will challenge Paris at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Holmes, they will face off against Berea at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
