Basketball Recap: Shiprock Takes a Loss

Shiprock was the 42-41 winner over Newcomb when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Shiprock Chieftains took a 49-30 bruising from the Newcomb Skyhawks on Monday. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shiprock's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Newcomb, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Shiprock will face off against Grants at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Newcomb, they will take on Cuba at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
