After both having extra time off, the Ludlowe Falcons and the Warde Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Ludlowe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Staples, who was ranked 20th at the time (Ludlowe was ranked 22nd). The Falcons walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Wreckers last Friday.

Liam Bond was his usual excellent self, rushing for 52 yards and four scores, while also picking up 43 receiving yards. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Ludlowe's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Carlo Noecker was especially locked on to Staples' QB and sacked him twice. Noecker has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, Warde came up short against Norwalk last Saturday and fell 39-32. The Mustangs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Dellavolpe and Easton Pace. Pace had a great game and rushed for 236 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Dellavolpe was balling out in the loss, throwing for 348 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground.
