Dixie won the last time they faced Pine View and things went their way on Friday too. The Flyers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Flyers have won by exactly nine runs.

Brenlie Phelps made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Chesney Robbins was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Avery Spagnolo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Dixie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.8.

Dixie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Pine View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
