Basketball Recap: North Dallas Adventist Academy Falls to Covenant in First Game of Season

North Dallas Adventist Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Covenant Knights 77-39 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Sentinel in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Covenant got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Webb out in front who posted 21 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. The contest was Webb's third in a row with at least 21 points. Luke Thomason was another key player, shooting 70% from the field on his way to 22 points.

Covenant's record is now 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Dallas Adventist Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lucas Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Covenant, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Dallas Lutheran at 7:30 p.m.
