Central and Hollister are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. Central will be playing at home against Hollister at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central 1.3, Hollister 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

If Central beats Hollister with 13 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went Central's way against Hanford on Saturday as Central made off with a 13-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Grizzlies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Yaya Diredo tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Ella Bakholdin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kalena Olmos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.

Meanwhile, Hollister has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Saint Francis, falling 10-0. The loss was the Haybalers' first of the season.

Grace Peffley was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Central pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Hollister, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
