Soccer Recap: Cape Coral Takes a Loss

After flying high against Port Charlotte last Wednesday, Cape Coral came back down to earth. The Cape Coral Seahawks came up short against the Fort Myers Green Wave on Thursday, falling 3-0. The matchup was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Seahawks it sure didn't stay that way.

Cape Coral's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-3. As for Fort Myers, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4-1.

Cape Coral didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Estero on the 13th. As for Fort Myers, they will host Palmetto Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Fort Myers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
