Soccer Recap: New Hanover Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, New Hanover was not quite Topsail's equal in the second half on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to the Pirates. While losing is never fun, New Hanover can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Topsail are ranked 60th).

New Hanover is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Topsail, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-6.

New Hanover wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against South Brunswick on the 25th. As for Topsail, they have also already played their next match, a 9-0 win against North Brunswick on the 25th.
