Volleyball Recap: Plainville Comes Up Short

Plainville lost against Smith Center back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Redmen.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15.

Leading Smith Center to victory were Lillie Heiland and Danni Archer. Heiland had nine digs, while Archer had 13 assists.

Plainville's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Smith Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Plainville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ellis on the 30th. As for Smith Center, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Hoxie on the 30th.
