Baseball Recap: Kennebunk Beats Falmouth for Their Second Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Kennebunk rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Falmouth Navigators a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

Not much got past Isaac Jensen, who gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Falmouth off the board. Jensen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kennebunk saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Stone, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Kennebunk and bumps their season record up to 7-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Falmouth, they moved to 12-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Kennebunk will take on Biddeford on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. Falmouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
