After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fleming, Lord Botetourt was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Northside Vikings. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings cut but never quite recovered from.

Aaron Lyle was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Those 114 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lord Botetourt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside only rushed for 101.

When it comes to explaining why Northside lost, don't look at Casey Hall. Despite the final result, he rushed for 99 yards and one TD.

Lord Botetourt's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Northside, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

As of now, neither Lord Botetourt nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
