Volleyball Recap: Chloe Wix and Skylar Wilson Secure Win for Gallatin

Gallatin won the last time they faced Beech and things went their way on Thursday too. The Green Wave put the hurt on the Buccaneers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Gallatin walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-14.

Leading Gallatin to victory were Skylar Wilson and Chloe Wix. Wilson had nine digs and five aces, while Wix had ten assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Wix has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Gallatin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in four consecutive matches.

Gallatin's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Beech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gallatin will challenge rival Portland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beech is set to take on their familiar foe Hendersonville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
