Softball Recap: West Greene Buffaloes vs. Johnson County Longhorns
There's no place like home for West Greene, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Johnson County Longhorns on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Buffaloes: when they faced off against the Longhorns back in March, they had to take a 13-12 loss.
Morgan Brown made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Hayley Arnold was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Kaylee Willett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
West Greene hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.
West Greene's record is now 9-11. As for Johnson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
Looking ahead, West Greene is taking a road trip to take on South Greene at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
