Softball Recap: Indian Springs Takes a Loss

San Bernardino hit Indian Springs with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The COYOTES came up short against the Cardinals, falling 11-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-5 loss last Thursday.

Jizelle Castellanos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Alissa Yniguez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Indian Springs and nudges their season record down to 4-13-1. As for San Bernardino, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Indian Springs will square off against Pacific at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Bernardino, they will face off against Entrepreneur at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
