Basketball Game Preview: Norfolk Academy Bulldogs vs. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints

The Norfolk Academy Bulldogs will take on the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Norfolk Academy is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Steward on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Norfolk Academy was beaten by Steward 68-21. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 89-18, which was the final score in Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's tilt against Norfolk Christian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Ambassadors are ranked sixth).

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Norfolk Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
