Lewiston is 8-2 against Brunswick since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Dragons at 4:30 p.m.

Mt. Blue hit Lewiston with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-1.

Meanwhile, Brunswick narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Camden Hills 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted against the Windjammers since May 11, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Jimmy Cook, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Brunswick and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Lewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Lewiston was able to grind out a solid victory over Brunswick in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 11-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
