Basketball Recap: Neosho Takes a Loss

Neosho was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fountain Lake Cobras. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Neosho still got an impressive performance from Kaiden Asberry, who posted 14 points along with eight assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Asberry a new career-high in assists. Houston Branscum was another key player, putting up ten points.

Neosho's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fountain Lake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Neosho wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-42 loss against Tournament Opponent on the 14th. As for Fountain Lake, they will head out to face off against Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
