Basketball Game Preview: Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots vs. Faith Christian Warriors

Lynchburg HomeSchool hasn't had much luck against Faith Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lynchburg HomeSchool Patriots will welcome the Faith Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Lynchburg HomeSchool is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game two weeks ago. The contest between them and New Covenant didn't end well, with Lynchburg HomeSchool falling 34-19.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian came up short against Craig County on Monday and fell 45-37.

Despite the defeat, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Savannah Green dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That was a full 45.9% of Faith Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ava Glaze, who put up 11 points.

Faith Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lynchburg HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Lynchburg HomeSchool took a serious blow against Faith Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 53-22. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lynchburg HomeSchool was down 39-12.
