Soccer Recap: Southland Academy Takes a Loss

Southland Academy managed to keep up with Sherwood Christian Academy until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Raiders came up short against the Eagles, falling 7-3. While losing is never fun, Southland Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 354th, while Sherwood Christian Academy are ranked 142nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Southland Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Southland Academy will be playing at home against Tiftarea Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Georgia Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
