Soccer Game Preview: Fort Bend Marshall vs. Victoria East

The Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos will take on the Victoria East Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Marshall's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Fort Bend Marshall fell victim to Randle and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victoria East). Their defense stepped up to hand Terry a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. With that victory, the Titans brought their scoring average up to 2.5 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Terry from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kia Amador led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Victoria East is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Fort Bend Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
