Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Central Catholic's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

St. Joseph Central Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Woodmore Wildcats by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crimson Streaks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

St. Joseph Central Catholic walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 17-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Bella Stout was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and four aces.

Stout wasn't the only good server: St. Joseph Central Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

St. Joseph Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Woodmore, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Central Catholic will head out to square off against Margaretta at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Woodmore, they will challenge Calvert at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
