Basketball Recap: Johnstown-Monroe Takes a Loss

Johnstown-Monroe was the 68-33 winner over Mt. Vernon when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets on Wednesday.

Johnstown-Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mt. Vernon, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnstown-Monroe will square off against Heath at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will challenge Licking Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
