Baseball Recap: Challis Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Soda Springs, Challis was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Idaho City Wildcats as they made off with a 10-4 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Challis got a big performance out of Cooper Holt, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Ivie, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Challis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Idaho City, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Challis will square off against Salmon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Savages' pitching crew has only allowed 0.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Idaho City, they will face off against Vision at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
