Football Recap: Cottondale Hornets vs. Lafayette Hornets
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cottondale couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They and the Lafayette Hornets were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered a 43-42 loss. Despite 128 more yards than Lafayette, Cottondale couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trashonn Collins, who picked up 245 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Odom, who threw for 295 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt.
