Basketball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

Benson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-31 loss at the hands of the Bellevue West Thunderbirds. The Bunnies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.

Bellevue West's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stevie Harley, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Woodard, who went 5-for-6 on her way to 14 points.

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Bellevue West, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-8.

Benson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bellevue West, they will face off against Lincoln Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellevue West is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
