Volleyball Recap: Macarthur Starts off Right with Win over Valley Stream Central

MacArthur had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Valley Stream Central Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

MacArthur was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-17, 16-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-9.

Having lost for the first time this season, Valley Stream Central fell to 3-1.

MacArthur will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Uniondale at 6:45 p.m. on the 25th. As for Valley Stream Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Freeport on the 13th.
