Volleyball Game Preview: West Prairie Cyclones vs. Illini West Chargers

The West Prairie Cyclones are taking a road trip to take on the Illini West Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, West Prairie came up short against Macomb and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cyclones in their meetings with the Bombers: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Illini West can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They came out on top against Rushville-Industry by a score of 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16.

Illini West's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for West Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 19-14.

West Prairie couldn't quite get it done against Illini West when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cyclones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
