Football Recap: Hemlock Comes Up Short

Hemlock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeview Wildcats. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hemlock's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lakeview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Hemlock will host Mt. Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lakeview, they will venture away from home to take on Chippewa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
