Volleyball Recap: South Davidson Wildcats vs. Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix
South Davidson came into Thursday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 2nd.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.
Samara Boyd paced South Davidson's offense, picking up five kills. Boyd got some help from Payton Cook and her six assists. Marly Chase controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.
South Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, their loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
