Baseball Game Preview: Miramonte Matadors vs. San Rafael Bulldogs

The Miramonte Matadors will face off against the San Rafael Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Miramonte and Albany, and Albany kept the tradition alive. The Matadors fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Matadors have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Miramonte saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Yung, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Ian Hughes also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, San Rafael came up short against Novato on Friday, falling 10-1.

Miramonte's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for San Rafael, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Miramonte took their win against San Rafael in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. Do the Matadors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
