Baseball Game Preview: Tarrant Wildcats vs. Pleasant Grove Spartans

Tarrant hasn't had much luck against Pleasant Grove recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tarrant Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Pleasant Grove Spartans at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tarrant is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 25th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 22-1 to Carver Birmingham.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Dora, falling 14-4. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Pleasant Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Barney, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. Another was Amaury Webster, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Tarrant might still be hurting after the 18-3 defeat they got from Pleasant Grove in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Tarrant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
