Recap: Towns County Indians vs. Lincoln County Red Devils
This season hasn't been kind to The Towns County Indians, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of Lincoln County on Friday. Towns County has not had much luck with Lincoln County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Lincoln County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Norman out in front who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Mekhi Wade was another key contributor, throwing for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only five passes.
Towns County's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Towns County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln County will head out on the road to face off against Wilkinson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilkinson County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
