Basketball Recap: Life Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 65-47 bruising from the Grace Christian School Kings. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Kings are ranked 133rd).

Despite the loss, Life Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Clarence Harris, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 29 points. Harris is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Travis Holloman was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and three blocks.

Life Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Grace Christian School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Life Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 87-47 defeat against Veritas Collegiate Academy on the 24th. As for Grace Christian School, they will square off against The Carmel School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Carmel School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Grace Christian School likes a good challenge.
