Baseball Recap: Morgan City Victorious

Morgan City's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the A.J. Ellender Patriots 11-10. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Thomas Mancuso was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Solar, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Morgan City's victory bumped their record up to 10-23. As for A.J. Ellender, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan City will welcome Delcambre at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for A.J. Ellender, they will host Houma Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
