Softball Recap: Slidell Takes a Loss

Slidell blew Fontainebleau out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Fontainebleau got their revenge. The Slidell Tigers fell just short of the Fontainebleau Bulldogs by a score of 7-5. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Slidell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fontainebleau, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slidell will take on St. Charles Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Charles Catholic knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Slidell likes a good challenge. As for Fontainebleau, they will square off against Salmen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
