Softball Recap: Flandreau Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oldham-Ramona/R on Monday, Flandreau came back down to earth. The Fliers fell 8-3 to the Madison Bulldogs on Thursday. The Fliers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Flandreau saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Hammer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Hammer's first of the season.

Flandreau's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Madison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Flandreau will square off against rival Beresford at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Madison is set to face off against their familiar foe Lennox at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
