Baseball Game Preview: Cooter Wildcats vs. Oran Eagles

Cooter has won three straight games at home, while Oran has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Wildcats will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Cooter proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Risco 6-4. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Oran posted their closest victory since May 22, 2024 on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bell City, sneaking past 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won six in a row.

Cooter has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Oran, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Cooter came out on top in a nail-biter against Oran in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
