Sam Houston is 4-0 against Fox Tech since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Sam Houston Hurricanes will square off against the Fox Tech Buffaloes at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sam Houston has 20 straight victories, Fox Tech has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sam Houston beat Brackenridge 50-46. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Eagles are ranked 625th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sam Houston found their leader in sophomore Jakiyah Caldwell, who posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre'Yanna Murray, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Fox Tech had to suffer through a 63-28 loss at the hands of Brackenridge.

Sam Houston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 24 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points per game. As for Fox Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-21.

Sam Houston strolled past Fox Tech in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 37-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sam Houston since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
